Using Grolier's Multimedia Encyclopedia online, search for each of the technological developments (telescope, spectral analysis, red/blue shift, satellites/space craft).

Using the handout, record your findings in each of the appropriate boxes - remember to read the article and then put the information into your own words! (Note:  You may need more than 1 page for your table.  Try to keep your answers concise and to the point.)

You should be able to find all of your information in Groliers Multimedia, but you may also use The New Book of Popular Science (also at the Grolier site).
