Illustrating the Bill of Rights We have been studying the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. To help learn and remember the contents and the importance of the Bill of Rights, your assignment is to illustrate the document. The final product must be at least 8˝x11 and no larger than standard poster paper, it can be any shape. The images you use for each of the amendments should be combined to create a montage*. Have fun! You will be graded using the following criteria
Project due date: a montage is a combination of different pictures to create one major image—using several small images to create a big image. You need a minimum of ten images, one for each Article in the Bill of Rights. Your montage theme is American symbols of freedom.Bill of Rights - the document from the National Archives site Help with understanding the vocabulary in the Bill of Rights. The U.S. Constitution Online - scroll down about 2/3s of the page to find the Bill of Rights. The Heading will say "The Amendments." One of the links under Research Help is Pictures On-Line. (Research Help appears in the blue box on every library web page) These sites are listed because they are accessible from school (not blocked). Another site you can use is the Univ. at Albany Search Engine Guide. Scroll down to image search engines. (many will be blocked) We have a cut box in the library - it is the purple plastic tub in the leisure section. The Maine Research Databases will help you to find images. If you click on Social Sciences, I would suggest searching in Academic Search Premier and Masterfile Premier. Click on the Images icon in the green toolbar at the top of the page. |
