Baen Free Library - There are a lot of sites for fan fiction and amateur authors, a few that anthologive previously published SF short stories from established writes, and several places where longer public-domain works are available.  This site, however, is one of the only places where writers who also get paid for their work willingly post book-length works for free!

Digital Book Index - 90,000 e-texts can be reached from this site.  You will need to log-in the first time.  Then, read Getting Started the first time you use the site.

Free Speculative Fiction Online - This portal, recently updated by creator Richard Cissee, links to novellas, novelettes, and short stories that have been published elsewhere online.

Project Gutenberg - Public domain (translated meaning usually published before 1932) titles. Right now, there are total of 6267 Total Project Gutenberg eBooks. 119 eBooks have been posted so far by Project Gutenberg of Australia.
