About The Arcturus

Our team always has a need for expansion. If you have an interest in news relaying, journalism, print design, sports reporting, photography or general writing, you'd do well to come to our meetings. Joining The Arcturus is an excellent decision - it looks great on your transcript, is a ton of fun and provides a chance for you to show many people what you can do. Here's the current rundown of active members:

Advisor:

Mrs. Finlay

Mrs. Finlay is the librarian and media specialist at CHS.  She has been advisor of The Arcturus since the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year.

Print and Web Editors:

Ben Pinette

Ben is a junior and has been with The Arcturus since it's interception. He not only writes some news-related articles but helps do the layout along with Nick.  He will be going into Journalism and Communications once he graduates next year.  He loves to hear any comments/questions/concerns you may have so don't be afraid to ask him.

Nick Violette

Nick is a senior. He and Ben edit and arrange the articles and pages you read in both the print and online versions of The Arcturus. He's on his way to NESCOM in the fall to study marketing and eventually work in graphic design for print.
