Caribou Middle School band students
have the opportunity to audition for placement in the award-winning Middle School
Jazz Band.
Mr. McLaughlin
rehearses after school twice weekly with students to build a repertoire of jazz
standards and gain knowledge of playing in the jazz idiom. Jazz instrumentation includes,
piano, bass guitar, drum set, saxophones, trombones and trumpets.
Students may double
on flute or clarinet when appropriate. The music is challenging, yet appropriate for Middle School students.
