Task:

• You will be assigned a face of the war to research -either from the North’s point of view or the South’s point of view.
• Research your assigned topic.
• Answer the essential questions
• Select a photo to represent your face's category.
• Create a bibliography, using MLA citation
• Create note cards using Noodletools 
• Evaluate one website used for this project

Essential Questions:

• How did your face contribute to the war?
• Describe how your face was affected by the war.
• Research or create a biographical profile for your photos.

This new site from the Smithsonian shows you artifacts, not photographs:  CivilWar@Smithsonian - Produced by the National Portrait Gallery, the Web site's mission is to display and interpret artifacts that the museum has been collecting and preserving since the time of the Civil War. 

United Streaming which has over 100 videos on the Civil War era. 

The CHS Civil War Bibliography is broken down into sections.  Many of the books contain excellent photographs.
