Active.com - provides information for thousands of sporting events and allows users to register for events online.  Includes training tips, research, and the latest fitness news.

Bestabs.com - Interested in firming up your abdominal muscles?  Here are the basics of Shawn Phillip's "ABSolution" nutrition and fitness program.  

Body for Life - An intro to Bill Phillip's program, including tips for exercise and nutrition and helpful recipes.  http://www.bodyforlife.com

Calories Burned Per Hour of Exercise - Use this chart to find out how many calories your burning while working out.  The chart is organized by activity and weight.

Dole 5 A Day - Some of the info is juvenile - but the graphics are really great to use and the nutrition information is good.

Fitness Files - This site teaches the basics of developing healthful habits.  There are 4 main areas:  Fitness Fundamentals, Get Active, The Injurenet, and Fuel for Fitness.

Fitness Fundamentals - If your planning to start a fitness program visit this site first. It presents guidelines for personal exercise programs developed by the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.

Fitness Matters - For a look at alternative forms of exercise, visit this site. You will also find links to other good fitness Web sites.

Healthfinder - is a free gateway to reliable consumer health and human services information developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Healthfinder can lead you to selected online publications, clearinghouses, databases, web sites, and support and self-help groups, as well as the government agencies and not-for-profit organizations that produce reliable information for the public.

The Internet's Fitness Resource - This is basically a gateway site presenting links to sites that focus on exercise, fitness, nutrition, and health and wellness.

Just Move.org - created by the American Heart Association.  Offers a fitness diary, fact sheets about exercise, health, and nutrition, ideas for incorporating exercise into your daily life, and much more.

Nutrition Navigator - Tufts University reviews and rates sites offering nutrition information on the web.

Outside Magazine - features valuable links to information  about gear, travel, and body work, as well as archives of past articles.

Shape Up America! - This organizations's online site is loaded with helpful information about diet, safe weight maintenance, and how to get into better shape through a sensible exercise program.

Tim's Nutrition and Weightlifting Page (Blocked by Bess) - Here you'll find information on nutrition and a healthy lifestyle, with a focus on weight lifting. In addition, there are articles on steroids and links to other weight lifting sites.

Worldguide Health and Fitness Forum -  This is divided into five basic subject areas: Anatomy, Strength Training, Cardiovascular Exercise, Eating Well, and Sports Medicine.

Workout.com (Blocked by Bess)- provides handy meal and workout planners, and helpful articles on training, weight loss, and other fitness and nutrition topics.
