Rules for Internet Use
Violating
these rules may mean losing your access to the CHS computers
- Never share your password or account with anyone.

Computer use, including Internet access, is limited to
educational and school related activities.

Chat rooms, messaging, message boards and e-mail is
strictly off limits.

Do not intentionally search for, view and/or distribute
inappropriate materials. (e.g. pornography or violence)
- Do not give out personal information on the
Internet.

Do not use inappropriate language or symbols. Profanity
or obscenity will not be tolerated on the school network.

Do not download or install software without the written
permission of the network administrator.

Do not use the network for any illegal activities.
(including tampering with computer hardware or software, unauthorized entry
into computers, vandalism or destruction of computer files or history. In some
cases, such activity is considered a crime under state and federal law.)
- Do not deliberately spread computer viruses.

Do not use a school account to post anonymous or false
information.

Do not vandalize computers, software, network devices or
data.
- Obey the rules of copyright.
You are responsible for your account. You will be held accountable for any
violations traced to your account. |
